Batter up fondue

  • 1 package of Fairbury Brand Hot dogs
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 2 cups of vegetable oil
  • 1 1/3 cups of pancake mix
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  1. Cut Fairbury Brand Hot Dogs into bite size pieces.
  2. In a saucepan melt the butter with 2 cups of oil.
  3. Let cool and skim milk solids from the top.
  4. Pour into fondue pot and heat to 375.
  5. In a small mixing bowl, combine pancake mix with milk and egg.
  6. Beat with wire whisk until smooth.
  7. Dip meat bites into pancake batter.
  8. Let drain.
  9. Cook in fondue pot until heated and evenly browned.
  10. Coat with maple syrup.
