Creamy Cool Dipping Sauce
Makes about 1-1.4 cups
2/3-cup low-fat mayonnaise
¼ cup ranch-style salad dressing
3 ounces crumbled feta cheese
2 teaspoons finely chopped green onion
Combine mayonnaise and salad dressing in small bowl. Stir in cheese and onions. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
Sour Cream Dipping Sauce
2 cups sour cream
4 tablespoons prepared horseradish (depending how zesty you want it)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Dash of paprika
Whisk together all ingredients, chill. Spoon into serving bowl.
New Orleans Style Chicken Wing Dipping Sauce
1 (12 ounce) jar of refrigerated chunky blue cheese dressing
¾ cup Creole mustard
1/3 cup scallions, finely chopped (reserve a teaspoon of chopped green tops for garnish)
1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
Combine all ingredients and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving (overnight is preferable).
Creamy Cilantro Dipping Sauce
Makes about 1 cup
1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
¼ cup light sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup yogurt
½ lemon, juiced
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Combine ingredients in mixing bowl. Whisk ingredients to incorporate them fully and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce
¼ lb. bleu cheese, Roquefort, or Gorgonzola
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon wine vinegar
Several dashes of hot pepper sauce, to taste
In small bowl, mash the bleu cheese, leaving some small lumps. Whisk in the mayonnaise until blended. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to blend well. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
