Wimmer's

1 lb. Wimmer’s Wieners
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
½ cup chili sauce
8 hot dog buns

In a glass baking dish, microwave onion and garlic in butter for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add remaining ingredients except wieners and buns. Microwave 5 to 10 minutes. Split wieners lengthwise about 3/4 of way through. Arrange in shallow dish and coat with sauce. Microwave for 5 minutes. Spoon sauce over wieners again. Cover and microwave 2 minutes and let rest 5 minutes. Place wieners on bun and spoon remaining sauce over sandwiches. Makes 8 sandwiches.
